How to Make Orange & Peppermint Deodorizing Spray
Ahem. Do you have a stinky house? In no time, you can make up a batch of this deodorizing spray using our Simply Fresh Odor Neutralizing Spray Base and banish odors for good!
This is an alcohol free, water based room and linen formula that can be used in neutralizing pet odors, cigarette smoke, cooking and bathroom odors. Freshens and deodorizes linens, towels and clothing with a unique conditioning agent. Perfect for use at home, office, dorm, gym, hotel room or any space where you want to neutralize bad odors and add fragrance instantly. Unlike other products that only mask odors, Simply Fresh Odor Neutralizer eliminates the problem by encapsulating the offensive odors and rendering them neutral.
We’ve formulated this recipe with sweet orange and peppermint essential oils that smell uplifting and refreshing and are a wonderful alternative to synthetic fragrances found in commercial air fresheners. SUPPLIES
- Digital Scale
- Spatula or Spoon
- Spray Bottle with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol
- Funnel Pitcher
- Pipettes (for preservative and essential oil)
- Paper Towels
- 2 x 4 oz Plastic Cosmo Oval Bottles
- 2 x Fine Mist Sprayers
INGREDIENTS
- 4 mL Sweet Orange Essential Oil
- 2 mL Peppermint Essential Oil
- 7.8 oz / 231 g Simply Fresh Odor Neutralizer Spray Base
DIRECTIONS
Before starting this tutorial please make sure to read all instructions. Spray work surface, utensils and mixing bowl with 70% isopropyl alcohol and wipe with paper towels. Use disposable pipets when dispensing essential oils. Do not place undiluted essential oils in plastic ware.
Step 1
Weigh the Simply Fresh Odor Neutralizing Base into a funnel pitcher.
Step 2
Using disposable pipettes, add the essential oils.
Step 3
Stir for at least 60 seconds to combine or until the essential oil is fully incorporated.
Step 4
Pour into plastic bottles and seal with fine mist spray caps and enjoy!
To Use
As an air freshener, simply spray away from face and into the air. For deoderizing linens or fabrics, spray at a minimum 12″ distance. (It is always recommended to test spray on a non visible area to be sure no marking occurs.)
