How to Make Easy Beachy Styling Spray
Salt sprays are an easy way to get hair that looks like you just spent a day at the beach. Unfortunately, they are also very expensive, so why not make it yourself?! This tutorial uses our No Knots Conditioning and Detangling Spray as a shortcut to great summer hair. This base contains panthenol, aloe, and conditioning agents that will leave your hair soft and healthy. The secret ingredient in this styling spray is Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) which is also the top ingredient in many salon brands. Epsom salt leaves your waves soft and distinct without feeling crunchy like sea salt or table salt.
This recipe is fragrance-free. If you want a scented product, you will need to remove 2% (4g) of the No Knots Detangling Base and add 1% polysorbate 80 (2g) and 1% (2g) of your favorite fragrance or essential oil. Shake well.
To use this spray, thoroughly spray damp hair and finger-comb throughout. You can twist sections of your hair into waves and curls. Allow to dry naturally, or blow dry on low. You’ll love your summery hairstyle!
