Bath Bomb Recipe from Fizzy Base

How to Make Bath Bombs using Bath Bomb & Fizzy Base

For quick and easy bath bomb making, try using our Bath Bomb & Fizzy Base! It’s premixed for perfect fizzy bath bombs every time. Simply follow these easy instructions and make some for yourself or for your next crafters market or as gifts for friends and family!

Tip: To assist with unmolding, its best to add a little extra butter to these bath bombs. Cocoa butter will give you the hardest bath bombs, but shea butter and mango butter make nice bombs, too. This recipe makes 7 x 2.6” bath bombs. Using a larger mold will yield fewer bath bombs. A smaller mold will make more bath bombs.

DIRECTIONS

Before starting this tutorial please make sure to read all instructions. Use caution when handling melted oils. Do not weigh fragrance oils into plastic containers; use glass or stainless steel. Use gloves when mixing to keep your manicure from getting scratched. Also be sure to prep your muffin pan in advance. To do this, simply cover the muffin pan in plastic wrap. Don’t pull too tightly – you want the plastic wrap to be a little hammock for your bath bombs as they dry.

Step 1 – Melt Butters

Melt butter of your choice in a small microwaveable bowl for about 3 minutes on high power, or until melted, stirring midway through. Alternatively, melt the butter in a double boiler on the stove top. Set aside to cool briefly.

Step 2 – Prep Your Liquids

Mix the liquid colorant or tap water with the isopropyl alcohol.

Step 3 – Combine

Add the butter of your choice and isopropyl alcohol mixture to the bath bomb base in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly using your hands. Check the consistency of the mixture.  It should form distinct clumps when squeezed. If it seems too crumbly, add a couple drops of isopropyl alcohol.
